Calling all artists and creatives! We are now accepting applications for our 2016 summer program and we plan to hire the largest programming staff in our history in order to complete public art, art therapy and entrepreneurial projects throughout Cincinnati.

At ArtWorks, our mission to employ and train local youth and talent to create art and community. This year we plan to hire our largest programming staff yet! We are now accepting applications to for nearly 45 professional artists and 200 youth Apprentices to support the creation of 12 community murals and 250 capes for children facing hardships. Additionally, we will hire youth apprentices to help with the creation of enterprise-driven projects.
ArtWorks apprenticeships are more than just a summer job, they are opportunities to work with professional artists and a small team of diverse young artists from across Greater Cincinnati to execute community-driven art projects. Apprentices are introduced to various art careers and skills and gain work training in financial literacy, building resumes, creating portfolios and presenting. Project schedules vary from 4-8 weeks and apprentices are paid at least $8.10/hour.
Teaching Staff are comprised of project managers and teaching assistants who work to mentor and manage youth apprentices to produce public art projects. Professional artists and art educators with experience in visual arts, photography, art therapy, sewing, creative enterprise and more are encourage to apply. Teaching staff receive stipends commensurate with experience level and project assignment.

Artists, get your applications in before February 26 and youth, get your applications in before March 4. Interview weekend for potential youth apprentices will be held March 12-13.
