"On the Shoulders of Giants"
- 959 W. 8th St., Cincinnati, OH 45203, Cincinnati Police Museum in Queensgate
- A project of the 2008 ArtWorks Spring After-School Program
- Mural dedicated September 2008
The Queensgate mural on the South and West walls of the Greater Cincinnati Historical Police Society Museum showcases two distinct images created by Lead Artist Scott Donaldson with Teaching Artist Michael Stillion and six Apprentices. The South facing wall honors the tradition and legacy of the Cincinnati and Hamilton County police forces by depicting three distinct officers in their traditional uniforms. These images are paired with buildings found in the Cincinnati skyline: the Carew Tower and the PNC Bank building. The West facing wall drew inspiration from an old photograph of a police officer with the first Cincinnati police dog, Handsome.
