The ArtWorks Art Bank, a new art-leasing program is an innovative way for you to get your art out of your studio or storage space and onto walls. Instead of hanging your work in a gallery, hoping it will sell, let us lease your work to a business or individual for an exhibition on their walls. You will get paid quarterly no matter if your work sells. Plus, you will get exposure to a whole new audience, many of whom may not be the type that frequents galleries.
Here’s how ArtBank works:
You provide images and information of works you are willing to lease, along with a bio about yourself. ArtWorks will work with you to establish a value for each work of art. ArtWorks will create a catalogue of art for clients to choose from and make recommendations based on the client needs. When your work is selected by a client, we will contact you, arrange to get your work and get it installed in the client’s space for a period of one year.
The client pays a monthly lease to ArtWorks, which is billed at 2.5% of the value of the work. ArtWorks and the artist share this income. Artists receive 30% of lease total; ArtWorks retains 70%. For example, on a painting valued at $5,000, you will receive $112.50 quarterly and $450 annually. In the event that your work sells, you will receive 70% of the sale price. At the end of each 12-month lease, there is an option to renew for another year for both the client and the artist.

2. Get paid. You are paid quarterly for your work once selected and installed plus the opportunity for more income if the work sells.

4. Expand your collector base. Exposure through the ArtWorks ArtBank can lead to sales, commissions and new opportunities.
5. Put local art into our community. The ArtBank serves the greater Cincinnati community; artists and clients are all local, no outsourcing here.
