Over 2,500 Apprentices...so far. These 14-21 year-olds make artwork and get paid to do it. They're eager; they're talented. They spend their summers ramping up their professional and artistic skills.
we create public art
Over 300 works of public art...and still creating. From large scale murals to masterpieces on cars - we bring art to the people. Our Apprentices work with professional artists to create art on buildings, for hospitals, in museums - across our city.
we transform neighborhoods
31 neighborhoods have ArtWorks murals...and even more want them. We turn blank walls into traffic stoppers, unifying communities. We fill Apprentice hands with paintbrushes, cameras, and pencils. They make the magic. They make our city a special place to live.
we change lives
After an apprenticeship, young people are transformed - they're more confident, more professional, more connected. That's why we put youth to work making art. Like a former Apprentice says, "Incredible opportunities like ArtWorks fulfill dreams."
