Our City is a gallery.  That’s the premise behind MuralWorks, Cincinnati’s award-winning public art employment program.  ArtWorks employs teen and professional artists to work side-by-side with communities to transform our region.  Since MuralWorks began in 2007, ArtWorks has painted 34 murals in 25 neighborhoods in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky.  Your neighborhood can be next!

If you live in the City of Cincinnati, Covington or Newport, you can request a mural! 

Here’s how:

Round One

Download this form.  To be considered for a mural in 2012, submit the completed form along with a photo of the wall you want painted by December 1st 2011.

Please read the Mural Partner Responsibilities to understand what a mural partnership involves and to ensure you are committed to partnering with ArtWorks before submitting a mural request.

ArtWorks will contact you about moving on to Round Two by the end of January 2012. 

Round Two

ArtWorks will ask select communities to download the Round Two document here.  All supporting documents for Round Two should be submitted to ArtWorks by February 28, 2011.

ArtWorks will review all complete mural requests and let all communities know about 2011 mural partnerships by the end of March 2011.

ArtWorks will produce murals based on the availability of funds.  ArtWorks will select mural requests demonstrating strong partnerships in committed neighborhoods.  If ArtWorks is unable to partner with you in 2011, your application will remain on file for consideration for future partnerships.
