The Documentary

In partnership with the Northern Kentucky University, College of Informatics Department of Communication

Who knows what the ArtWorks Summer Program is REALLY like better than Apprentices?

Nobody does!  So Apprentices in this project will create a short documentary film featuring the Apprentices’ inside view of a summer at ArtWorks.  Travel to each ArtWorks project on a regular basis to film Apprentices and their projects.  Develop a storyline, interview questionnaire, operate video equipment, and pull it all together in the editing room to make a documentary about ArtWorks from a teen’s perspective.

Apply for this project if you:

  • Are an aspiring documentary filmmaker
  • Are interesting in being on-the-go each workday, meeting and interviewing teens in all projects

Skills you will use and learn:  Writing, interviewing, video, editing, and how to operate film equipment

Submit visual and/or literary samples to be considered for this project.
