ArtWorks Youth Apprentices Present 40 New Works of Art to Ronald McDonald House

Cincinnati, OH — ArtWorks Youth Apprentices formally presented Phase Three of the Room by Room Project to the families and staff of the Ronald McDonald House.

This phase of Room by Room brings 40 inspiring works of art to the House and its guests. Twelve ArtWorks youth Apprentices have worked under the direction of veteran artist Tina Westerkamp and three professional artists to create art through community engagement workshops with the families and staff at the House.

The Apprentices and the professional artists use the art created during these workshops as inspiration to create original mixed-media pieces that will be installed in guest rooms and shared spaces at the House.

These works aim to serve as a source of optimism, comfort and support to current and future families during their stay at the House.  Phase One was completed in 2009 with 103 works of art created and Phase Two was completed in 2011 with 44 works of art created.

Currently, all donations made to the Room by Room project through will be matched 1 to 1 through a generous matching gift by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati.
