Tickets are now on sale for ArtWorks’ weekend public walking mural tours, which will run through May – October 2021. Tickets are $25 per person.
This year, ArtWorks is running three routes to showcase murals in Downtown, Over-the-Rhine and Pendleton, and each tour is led by one to two ArtWorks volunteers.
Because of the pandemic, ArtWorks is continuing its COVID-19 safety policies during this mural tour season, including tour size limits of 10 guests and face mask requirements. Learn more in our mural tour Frequently Asked Questions.
“Viewing art is up close is a transformational experience and having our mural tour volunteers guide you is the best way to enjoy Cincinnati’s world-renowned murals,” said Liz Neidich, ArtWorks development manager and mural tour coordinator. “Many community residents and visitors love ArtWorks mural tours, so I’m very excited we get to open our tour season with safety in mind. There is no better way to admire the urban landscape than to take an ArtWorks mural tour, and learn more about our city’s rich cultural history.”
Public mural walking tours are available twice a month. Each tour lasts about 90 minutes with 12-13 murals and public art installations. Tours are timed so guests are able to take two tours during one day.
Because of COVID-19, mural bus tours are still suspended, but alternative options like private tours, virtual tours, and self-guided tours are additional options to those seeking to view murals in these neighborhoods. During 2020, ArtWorks welcomed 400 attendees to its tours.
ArtWorks Mural Tours are an award-winning experience, earning CityBeat’s Best of Cincinnati award in 2019 and 2020. The organization is continuing its partnership with Pedal Wagon Cincinnati, which provides its Cincinnati Mural Tour year round.
