ArtWorks invites past participants of its programming to submit work to their curated alumni show, Gifted!

Gifted is a curated alumni show highlighting the talent of our past Apprentices, Teaching Staff, Designers, Gallery Artists-in-Residence, and Gallery Youth Program Artists with work developed outside ArtWorks’ programming. The show will run from Dec 16, 2022 – Feb 10, 2023 at ArtWorks V² Gallery. To allow pieces to be gifted in time for the holidays, patrons who purchase artwork will be allowed to take home pieces immediately after the opening reception.

The Call to Artists will run from Oct 1 – Nov 7, 2022 and is open to alumni from 2019 – 2022. This includes any Apprentices, Teaching Staff, Designers, Gallery Artists-in-Residence, and Gallery Youth Program Artists who were active throughout those years. Artists can submit up to 10 pieces of any media, with the only requirement being that the price of the work must be priced under $500. Artists are also welcome to submit merchandise like t-shirts, zines, jewelry, and stickers to be sold at the event. The Artist will receive 90% of the proceeds for their pieces that are sold, with ArtWorks taking a 10% commission. There is no fee to apply.

To be considered, Artists will be required to submit an artist statement, CV, one photo for each piece, and the artwork’s dimensions (if applicable). For those who need assistance with the requirements above, ArtWorks will hold an enrichment session to walk through the process of creating submission materials on Oct 19th at 5:30 PM. You can register for the event here.
