Volunteer to Interview Apprentice Applicants
Help conduct interviews with talented, local youth for our 2017 Apprentice Program! This year, we are offering multiple interview locations and dates: March 7 at The Urban League and March 18 & 19 at the Contemporary Arts Center. Volunteers are needed for one-on-one scripted interviews with 300+ teen and student artists ages 14–21. Each interview lasts about 30 minutes. After the interview, volunteers assess the teen applicant and provide feedback to help ArtWorks make hiring decisions. ArtWorks will provide guidelines on how to evaluate each applicant during a short orientation before shifts begin. Interviewing Apprentice applicants is the most rewarding volunteer experience connected to the ArtWorks Program. See volunteer requirements here. Ready to volunteer? Sign up for a shift on March 7 and/or sign up for a shift on March 18 & 19.

Calling all youth Apprentice and adult TOUR GUIDES!
Have an interest in public speaking? Love sharing art with others? Starting in April, ArtWorks will be offering walking tours of our murals located downtown and in Over-the-Rhine. ArtWorks is looking for few responsible and mature individuals with a passion for the arts, an enthusiasm for Cincinnati history, and the ability to tell a good story. Tour guides must have a flexible schedule and be able to give 2-4 tours per month as needed. Tour guides need to be able to stay on their feet for at least 2 hours at a time and in any weather condition. Adult tour guides will volunteer alongside paid youth Apprentice tour guides to give tours to the general public as well as private groups. Tours will run seasonally from April to November, with training sessions in March and later in the fall. Only ArtWorks youth Apprentices who have worked on an ArtWorks mural project within the past two years are eligible to apply for the youth Apprentice tour guide position.
If you are interested in applying, please fill out our adult volunteer tour guide application or a youth Apprentice tour guide application. We have filled all of the youth Apprentice positions, but we are still accepting applications and will contact you as more positions become available.
